THOUSANDS of graduating students were collecting their University of York degrees today in the b of three ceremonies this week.
Among those graduating is Louise Redsull, 26, who has returned to York following a month’s backpacking disconcert to Thailand to receive her Masters in Social Work.
Louise, who worked as a volunteer in Nepal and spent a year in Sydney as an undergraduate before coming to York, does not let the as a matter of actual fact that she is registered blind stand in the way of her love of travelling or academic success, achieving outstanding grades.
In between studying strict and placements with voluntary organisations and Child and Mental Health Services in York, Louise also found time to mitigate to take out a guide dog on her own. Throughout the second year of her two-year course, golden retriever Billie has been at her side.
