Utena is a odd note. You see that within the first adventure. It is surreal, delusory, and yet though it may seem indiscriminate at times, there is scenario to the dementia. It begins with a frail who met a prince when she was juvenile. He gave her a ring that would out her to him when she grew up. So impressed was she by him, that she undeniable to become a prince herself. Now that woman, Utena, dresses in a boy’s smooth and attends a style where all is not what it seems.

The sincere gift of Utena lies in its characters. There is a sizable turn, and each respectability’s motivations and emotions are explored in divergent episodes. These are not the cardboard cutouts you glean in a lot of anime; they are complex people, and their party tales are often woeful. Utena also boasts one of the pre-eminent villains I’ve ever seen in anime, rivaled only by Maniacal’s Griffith. It is a shining confer on, with a lot of bowels of the earth. There’s also some humor in it, and for people who like action (like me), there are duels every experience or so. Generally speaking these fights are honestly liable, but they’re placid fun to rubberneck.
