Last week an ad for Teint Miracle, featuring a shot of Julia Roberts, forthwith, so hazily airbrushed she looked like she might have been painted by a 1960s pop artist, was banned in Britain. I had no idea hide had aura, apart from that stuff New Agers can spot, and I haven’t a clue how to “decrypt” any of these claims. I was baffled by another Lancome ad, featuring Juliette Binoche, which said “crust has its own substance”.

So, who is this Fred Farrugia customer anyway? Well, he’s not new to the sight. He’s been around the loveliness bung up a few times, having worked for Lancome back in the day as their artistic makeup kingpin. Get this: Homeboy invented Succulent Tubes!

It’s an all-embracing collecting with more than 100 pieces for eyes, lips, mien and cheeks, and the teeny-weeny cases spring catch together a like Legos, which is kinda fun.
