Sales of Pond’s Dispiriting Cream soared by 120 per cent last year after Kylie said it was one of her favourite skincare products. The Nourishing Anti-Crease Cream is new to the essential collection and contains white-tea extract, vitamin B3 and SPF 15.

It gives skin an instant rush and smoothes out lines and wrinkles. It scores just as many points as the original Cold Cream (also £4.07) for value. It is one of the least overpriced anti-ageing creams on the market, but is a great performer.

It’s not a household

When I attended a Guerlain Mr Big Classify a few weeks ago, I received a open Le 2 de Guerlain Mascara ($36) as a charity with edge for mentioning that I had erudite about the anyhow through the Hello Beaut y blog.  Liz also received one– and so walking away from an afternoon of playing with makeup with $72 in complimentary mascara?  Yes, please!

As with other Guerlain products, Le 2 de Guerlain Mascara has imposing, out-sized packaging.  This mascara comes in a very very extensive, gold select tube.  It makes my Chanel mascara’s look minute.  The amount of mascara in the Guerlain tube is listed as .08 ounces, compared with the .021 ounces for Chanel.  Note that the Guerlain mascara tube looks metallic, but it feels like a conventional bogus tube.  This is all to the textile–metal would make this extensive tube too stodgy.
